HP Laptop with a decent spec.
Purchased as a replacement for a creaking 9 year old laptop. Good build with a decent spec, required the creation of a Microsoft account to complete the set up. Came with trial versions of Office 365 and McAfee Anti Virus, which had to be removed to install my own software. Quick start up on the SSD drive with a good display, only slight downside is the keyboard, only because it is different to the old laptop, and it’s taken a while to get used to.An excellent laptop for the money, used primarily for light business use.

Good for most uses
As my work computer, now 8 years old, was slowing down and freezing up, it was time for a change. I would happily have bought another Lenovo ideapad but they were quite pricey. So I ended up with this HP. The 15.6″ screen is bigger than my last machine and this is Win 11, which is good because support for Win 10 has now ended. Starts up super fast, but they all do when new, has the ability to complete tasks quickly, mine is mainly spreads, emails, internet etc, copes with that no issues. I’m a bit surprised there is no SD card slot in this, even the old one had that, but it’s no great issue since a card reader is easily obtained, but for this kind of machine at £550 you’d think it was standard. The keyboard is not backlit either. It does have two USBs, a C port and HDMI, but nothing else for devices. Battery life is good. I’ve got it operating through a VPN, secure Duck browser and secure email in an attempt to cut down on the rubbish that blocks up and slows down a computer over time, all those trackers and cookies and emails with links in, all gone. It is reasonably portable, but for me, a bit too big for my purposes on site, but as an office machine, great. I did buy a smaller laptop at the same time to use on site but that didn’t end well and it got returned, so I will be looking again soon. So yes, a good spec, it was on a black friday deal so was a good price, works well for me, I’m not into gaming or streaming on a Pc so that didn’t feature in my list of wants when looking for a business machine, neither did want to pay a huge sum of money. If it lasts 8 years like the other one, I’ll be happy.

Best bang for your buck !
It’s a lovely laptop very light to carry turns on really quick and easy to use and settings up was a breeze I would advise getting a wirelessouse as the touch pad is very finger sensitive!I with help from my techy brother picked this laptop because of the storage and speed it works out and the spec couldn’t be matched at a well known electrical high street shop according to the staff there they said get this 1!So got it I did and I’m very happy with it

Fair laptop.
As far as display goes and speed its exellent. I was unaware I am unable to use a 2nd monitor with this laptop. I believe it has something to do with the graphics not being advanced enough. I have tried display link adapters but this did not work. I just feel I spent quite a lot of money and was disappointed I am unable to connect a 2nd monitor

A competitively priced laptop with a decent memory
The pluses are, HP is a good brand, has double the memory, it is lighter in weight than my previous one, got about 8-9 hours battery life. The cons are: I wish I had chosen a silver model as black can be harder to see the keyboard plus this one is not underlit. The screen varies in brightness as you move it back, can be a bit annoying but once set to suit you it is not too bad. All in all for the price and the increasing cost of memory, this laptop is sufficient for my needs of internet browsing, spreadsheets, photo and video work.
