Good valuse laptop for every day use…….
I am really pleased with this laptop…..My son set it all up for me and transfered all my …stuff….over from my old windows 7 laptop….sad to let it go really….but we are both getting old and slow….I was worried about changing, but I need not have been, this laptop is easy to use and and the screen is clear and a nice matt finish, which makes looking at the screen more relxing for my eyes…..and ofcourse it is alot quicker to come on and change from one site to another….does everything I need it to do, which is everyday banking and shopping and ofcourse emails. The sound is alot different to my old machine, but not a big issue for me, volume control is easy, all i all I am very pleased with my purchase,….The fan was quite noisey to start with when son son was setting the laptop up for me yesterday and I was a bit worried, my son said it would settle down , and it has,…it is silent today…so I am happy….a good value laptop for everyday use…..

Just got my new Acer Aspire Go 15, and so far, I’m really impressed! I was looking for a reliable, fast laptop for daily tasks, browsing, and some casual work, and this one hits all the marks without breaking the bank.First Impressions:The silver finish looks sleek and modern, and it feels pretty sturdy for an everyday laptop. Setting it up was a breeze, and I was online in minutes thanks to Windows 11 and the quick Wi-Fi 6. The 15.6″ Full HD screen is bright and clear perfect for watching videos or working on documents.If you need a dependable, fast, and feature-rich laptop for home, school, or general use, the Acer Aspire Go 15 is a good choice. It looks good, performs great, and handles everything I throw at it with ease. I recommend!

Nice machine, 16GB RAM makes all the difference
Quick to set up, nice keyboard (doesn’t light up but don’t care, that’s flim flam), nice size, plenty of ports including Ethernet port, with 16GB RAM its very fast, and at the price it’s very good. Proper Windows 11 out the box so you can install stuff without the “S” mode nonsense on cheaper ones.My previous Acer is 12 years old and the speed difference on this one is remarkable.It has a fan but it’s not that noisy and it only kicks in if the machine is being battered processorwise.My only moan, and this is being VERY picky, is the screen is kinda average, but it’s not a deal breaker by any means, it’s fine. That’s why I took a star off (and I’d only take half a star off if that was allowed).The manual is a bit of a hoot, plug this in and push this button and, eh, that’s it. But the Windows 11 set up process is nice so not a problem.Well packed too.Hopefully it’ll do as well as it’s predecessor.

Great for general use – Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-42P Laptop
As there are variations on the model, I got:”Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-42P Laptop – AMD Ryzen 5 5625U, 16GB, 512GB SSD, Integrated Graphics, 15.6 Inch Full HD, Windows 11, Silver”…and as a general purpose windows 11 laptop it’s really very good.I’m not going to get all technical in this, with hardware analysis and bench tests and such, but if you’re wanting to hear generally how it is please read on;This is about as technical as I’ll get: Nowadays I’d recommend always having at least the 16GB RAM as running any general apps like internet explorer, outlook or office apps will easily eat 7 to 9GB under general use. Having the 16GB in this laptop means it’s not slowed down for anything.Ok, it’s not a gaming machine, we got this to replace an aging windows 10 machine that wasn’t going to get the upgrade (besides which it was seriously old and so slow!)..Setting up was easy. Plugged in the power supply, pressed the power button.It guides you through the setup and is easy to do. You’ll need an internet connection to set up as you’ll login to microsoft to get it going. It also registers with Acer for warranty during the setup too.I’ve run many apps at the same time on this too, as I say things like internet explorer, file explorer, outlook emails, office apps, all at once and it’s not shown any sign of slowing down with any of it.It will also play Minecraft quite smoothly too! Again it’s not a gaming machine with a dedicated graphics processor, but it does ok with some games like Minecraft. It’s not really made for heavy gaming anyway so I’m happy with what it can do.Physical stuff I noticed:The screen/lid when opened actually becomes two feet along the rear edge, with rubber feet on it. What that does is allows airflow under it while it’s on the desk.The cooling system can then draw air in the vents underneath, but I notice that it comes out a vent that blows the warm air onto the bottom of the screen. I just think that’s a bit odd, but what it does is enables the whole thing to be slimline. In that sense it works.The track mouse pad thing works like any other, nothing remarkable there… but the keyboard itself is a joy to type on! It’s not illuminated, but I have found (I type like the clappers) that it’s smooth and responsive. It makes typing fast and actually quiet while you’re at it.This model has the 512GB storage drive, which under general use will last years, and I’ve read in Acer information that the model doesn’t have extra space inside for a second drive, so when it’s full it’s full. No matter as I only want this for general day to day stuff (and Minecraft!) so it’ll do the job. If later in its life I find I need a larger drive I’ll upgrade (replace) it for a larger one. Not expecting that for years and years, if ever, as it’s not going to have loads of stuff installed on it anyway.So in summary;To replace an ageing non-compatible windows 10 machine it’s spot on! Boots fast, does stuff fast, runs loads of stuff at once, and I can play Minecraft too!I’ll be honest, I bought my wife one of these a couple of months back, and seeing how well it worked I got a second one for me to replace my old thing! So that’s two of the same model I’ve bought in recent times, so I guess it has my recommendation!I hope this has been of help.
