    Excellent phone
I bought this for my elderly grandmother. She had never really used mobiles before. We got her a few over the past few years that she tried to use but couldn’t get used to them and they got stuck in a drawer. This one though, she got used to within a few days. She loves it. As someone who still uses the landline with no caller display and no digital phone book, she still gets excited that she doesn’t have to get out her address book and look up numbers, because now they’re in her mobile. It’s a great quality device, and it also gives us peace of mind as a family because she is in her 90s now so having a mobile that she can keep on her to ring someone in an emergency rather than struggling to reach the landline is comforting to us , and we’ve setup the emergency button on it too, which sends a few of our family members an instant text saying the emergency button was pressed, and then it automatically round-robin calls us while putting her mobile on loudspeaker so we can speak directly to her in an emergency. Excellent value for money . I can’t speak so much for the features, it’s a pretty simple device, but the emergency button feature is great (although I would say that it’s a bit difficult to configure that button, for a device that’s targeted to the elderly). It’s a good size phone, with good sized buttons and text on the display, and the battery lasts a solid few days.

Good phone for seniors and the young before a smart phone.
The Doro 1380 works well, and the setting up instructions are quite comprehensive, except for Bluetooth linking of the phonebook. I had to return the first phone to the retail store for refund because of a charging fault, but the one I bought from Amazon to replace it had no issues. The battery charge lasts me a week before I need to recharge. Not a smart phone, but a very workmanlike feature phone for calls and messages. It can hold two sim cards and a SD card for photos.

A brick on arrival. Amazon really should do something about this common problem.
I bought the Doro 1380 for my elderly mum. Unfortunately (and like several others on here) the phone was dead on arrival for me. The battery does not to take a charge and there is no way to turn the phone on. Based on the number of similar cases I think Amazon really should look into this. As others have said, if there is a bad batch of these in circulation they should be recalled/removed from sale.It seems a shame as I think the phone would have been ideal for my mum – nice size and good clear buttons. I think she would have struggled with the usb micro charging port as it doesn’t have a confident feel when connecting it.So – I am returning the Doro for a refund and will be looking for a similar phone – ideally with a charging dock and from a different manufacturer.

    Fulfilled expectations
This was bought for my Mum who has dementia, to replace her old Doro phone. It is an easy-to-use phone at a good price. It arrived promptly. The SIM card pisition needed adjusting a few times to get it to register but once in the correct place everything worked well. The buttons are a good size and the details and screen are clear.

As advertised but nothing follows over when you put the sim in
My 71 year old father was very upset when he put his SIM card in and nothing followed over we tried all sorts but nothing worked so he had to start from scratch retyping all his numbers over and because his old phones screen broke he couldn’t get the pictures either it ended up really upsetting him

Excellent battery life, performs well with a weak signal and decent size buttons
My Uncle who refuses to get a Smartphone has been relying on old Nokia handsets over the years, but after his last one died, we struggled to find another reasonably priced second hand knowing that any second hand phone also needs a new battery also. Even the new Nokia feature phones have tiny buttons. This Doro phone has chunky buttons that makes such a difference dialling numbers such as for keying in the long prepay credit voucher numbers. Even texting is so much easier and quicker than with the tiny buttons on his previous phones.Despite my uncle living in a poor signal area which causes higher battery drain, the Battery lasts over a week, sometimes 10 days. Call quality seems very good including a clear speaker phone and it seems to hold the network connection better than his previous phones in weak signal areas. Silencing and unmuting is simple by just pushing the # button for a few sections. The only minor niggle is there is no shortcut key customisation, such as to quickly open the SMS inbox. Its flash light has a physical on/off switch. While not as bright as most smartphones, it is sufficient for walking in the dark. The display is bright and easy to read as shown in the image. Navigating menus is quick as there are just a few menus for calls, texts, contacts, etc. It has a basic image gallery and low resolution camera. There is no web browser or anything that I could see that uses data, which is a big plus with the extortionate out-of-bundle data charges many prepay operators charge, particularly with most Smartphones using a small amount of data even with data turned off. After my uncle using the Doro for a month, he did not have any out of bundle data charges deducted from his call credit.

Purtroppo il telefono non ha la possibilità di mettere la lingua in italiano quindi per una persona anziana è inutilizzabile. Per questo ho fatto il reso.
