Exactly what a living-room TV should be: crisp QLED picture, slick Fire TV, smart extras that matter
I don’t usually leave long reviews, but this 65″ Xiaomi really surprised me—in a good way.Setup was painless. From unboxing to watching took minutes: screw on the feet, plug in, and Fire TV walked me through Wi-Fi and app logins without any faff. The TV itself looks premium for the price: slim bezels, neat finish, and it blends into the room instead of dominating it.Picture quality is the headline. The QLED panel is bright and colourful, but still looks natural. HDR10+ support gives films real punch without blowing out highlights, and “Filmmaker Mode” is a great touch—it dials back the over-processing so movies look as intended. For sport, I left the motion smoothing on a low setting and football/F1 looked fluid without the weird soap-opera effect.Gaming is better than I expected at this price. Switch on the Game/Boost mode and input lag drops noticeably—racing and shooters feel snappy and responsive. I’m not chasing spec sheets; I just know my controller inputs feel instant and smooth.Sound is perfectly decent for a slim TV—clear dialogue and enough body for everyday viewing. I added a soundbar later for cinema nights, but you can happily live with the built-ins if you’re not chasing thunderous bass. The smart side is excellent. Fire TV is quick and familiar, with all the main apps ready to go and sensible recommendations. Alexa voice control saves loads of scrolling. A big bonus for me is Apple AirPlay—it makes it effortless to throw photos or videos from my phone up on the screen, and guests can cast without faffing about.A few practical things buyers will care about:• Remote pairs instantly and works reliably from any angle.• Wi-Fi has been stable; no random dropouts during matches or films.• Plenty of ports for a console and streaming box, plus optical out if you’re using an older sound system.Minor niggles: like most slim TVs, the speakers won’t rattle your windows (a soundbar fixes that), and you’ll want to play with picture presets for your room lighting—but that’s true of every TV I’ve owned.Verdict: If you want a big-screen QLED with genuinely useful smart features, solid gaming responsiveness, and a premium look without the premium price, this Xiaomi nails it. After a week of films, sport, and gaming, I’m genuinely impressed. Easy 5 stars.

Perfectly priced and amazing picture.
Fantastic picture, great smooth operation and the ability to install my fav 3rd party app.Well worth the price and features such as Freely, Xiaomi tv, amongst others all bring this into a realm of much higher priced models.

Excellent TV but not perfect
I am sure there are many other features on this TV that I am not using but I am happy with it overall.Pro’s3 HDMI ports including an eARC port that works great with my sound bar.Great value for money.Picture is nice and sharp. Which can be adjusted to make the picture more realistic.Plenty of features to allow screen mirroring and loads of apps you can installCon’sSound is clear but with no bass.Infrequently apps will stop working until you turn it off and on.The build is cheap but still manages to look good.Changing channel on terrestrial tv seems slow but browsing the channel with the inline guide is good.

Great TV for an excellent price
I bought this TV as a suprise replacement for my mother’s aging Samsung. This TV is a great all rounder for non technical people. I was familiar with the fire os and this TV surpassed my expectations. I didn’t have a chance to play with all the settings before I left my mother’s but I rang them today and she was extremely happy with it.

Don’t buy at the moment until problems sorted out
Bought this Tv and was initially easy to set up and was pleased with the sound and picture quality. However a few hours later after putting on standby, the problems seemed to arise .I had to set up again right from scratch, download the apps , reset the wi fi ,Then you kept getting a blank screen as freely would not download and you had to keep switching the tv of at the wall to keep resetting. The apps that you downloaded BBC iplayer and sounds along with channel 4 kept crashing and you had to start again from scratch .The final straw came when going into BBC iplayer to find out that this 2026 model was no longer being supported by the the manufacturer license along with channel 4 .Looking the problem up on the internet I have found out that Xiaomi are blaming the problems to third parties ie BBC and freely , well they chose to instore these on the their televisions .I spoke to Amazon about this nightmare and they were very helpful and arranging collection and refund as this was classified as not fit for purpose at this current time .

Poor viewing angles
Poor viewing angles the picture washes out quickly as your view moves to left or right from direct on view. The image is good straight on.Fire tv functions fine.Easy set up.Overall if your looking for a budget tv it’s OK as long as your view is pretty much straight on.

Excellent TV for Price
Purchased this for the kitchen. The TV itself is very lightweight but this does not mean low quality. After it gets powered up you get walked through a set up process that helps you connect to your wi-fi, select the Apps that you want etc. The whole setup process was very easy and I was up and running after just a few minutes. It took a little while to log into all of my account in the various apps but that would be the same with any TV these days.Picture quality and sound is excellent for a budget TV set. I was little unsure about purchasing a little known brand but I have been pleasantly surprised.

Brilliant TV, why should I pay for cable TV at €40 a month when I have hundreds of channels with my fire TV. would I recommend it? my answer is 100% yes. Go ahead and buy it. Oh by the way I am using an Xiaomi 15 Ultra phone and I wouldn’t change until the 17ultra is released. Lets be honest Xiaomi reigns supreme.

So far really good tv for the price.. nice image quality and sound. Only thing I don’t like is the media player on the tv, can’t even get subtitles. Just download another player.

So disappointed! Bought this as a present, when I gifted it it hadn’t been opened, but went over the return date. The TV is not working…obviously damaged product…..and I can’t get a refund

Beautifully presented 50′ QLED TV from Xiaomi, light and easy to install/setup. But, slightly disappointed with the low brightness and sharp content which would be expected from a QLED panel to keep up with their Korean counterparts. Also finding FireTV to be lacking compared to an Android Smart TV.
