Quality picture doesn’t record continuous though
Quite a good camera, very high picture quality, doesn’t record continuously just on motion activation. Solar panel keeps it charged enough but if motion sensor triggers to frequent it will drain the battery think about getting the bigger solar panel to keep it charged. Mine stopped charging/working after about 10months but Reolink support were great and sent a replacement camera out

Very reliable when the 4G signal is strong
The camera was installed in order to remotely monitor a house build in Ghana. The technology involved to do this is quite impressive – the solar panels keep the battery fully charged and the camera’s data SIM connects nicely to the local mobile network. An attractive feature of the camera is its ability to email me (in the UK) images of the site when motion was detected, and data usage – 12GB per month, costing about £2 – has been quite modest. So far so good. Unfortunately, after a little over 3 weeks I lost contact with the camera, the app giving the message “device disconnected”. I was happy with the prompt response from Reolink, but not happy with their remedy – perform a hard reset of the camera. This was not so easy to organise as the camera is not very accessible. The reset enabled connection to be resumed, but all settings were lost. A weakness of the camera’s software is that it does not allow the configuration settings to be saved (and restored), so the camera had to be set up from scratch. Very disappointing.Update. The camera has worked flawlessly after being reset seven weeks ago, but the jury is still out as to its overall reliability. Two weeks ago I installed an identical camera at another location on the building site. Its response when viewed in the app seems to be faster than the first camera.Update #2. The two cameras have now been operational for a year. I have become convinced that the measure of 4G signal strength is optimistic, as the connectivity issues I’ve been having only occur when either of the two cameras is at one particular location, and in this location mobile phone reception is known to be poor. If the connectivity is lost because of the weak signal, the app thinks that the phone is disconnected, but eventually the camera will re-connect.Update #3. After several more months of flawless operation of both cameras, I can now vouch for the reliability of this model. As mentioned earlier the 4G signal strength is measured inaccurately, and I have difficulty trying to connect to one of the cameras which is in an area of poor mobile phone reception. From experience I can connect after repeated attempts following a failed connection; if the app then reports that the camera has disconnected it will usually connect successfully on the next attempt.

Failed 5 weeks on!
I’m was thoroughly pleased with this purchase for the first 5 weeks. Able to review and see live change angle etc. It’s advertised as suitable for watching livestock, This week I can’t see anything as the kbps gets as high as 29. Then drops out suddenly an issue with my SIM card? It very clearly was!!Reo have been amazing their customer support team has kept in touch and i had a fabulous experience. SIM card was put in a mobile phone which provided evidence that it clearly wasn’t working. I have gone with a new service provider and I can view all comings and goings at all times againBig thumbs up

Excellent visuals and easy setup
Works great i have many reolink cams so used to their quirks ! Sometimes not connecting go out of app then try again . Clear cache .We put ee 120gb sim in from amazon set up no problems. There is a 32 gb memory card and sim supplied but used other one.Been using 3 days after charging before setting up.Noticed charge going down and in app wasn’t getting symbol showing charging . Checked on camera i didnt push lead in properly so all working ok has charged today up to 85%and not that sunny!Gave 4 star due to occasional not connected in app. But visual and control is amazing!2 months in and 100% charge still and only used 4 gb of 120gb . Really happy with camera.

Wish it had better battery and solar.
1 Year review. Purchased June 2024.Good:- Camera quality is as expected.- Picture quality great-All functions still work after 2 years. No maintenance.- Mobile access costs £80 or so a year. 2 changes.- no water has entered the Seals after 2 winters no corrosion visible.Bad:-Camera refuses to work in winter. Shorter days cause the battery to die 2 weeks into November. Due to the charge deficit. Unless you recharge to 100% every 2 all winter weeks the camera will not functionComing to a February. The camera is starting to come alive for 1-2 hours a day. So long as there are no alerts- motion picture is not very good during the night. It will capture walking pedestrians.Anything faster than that at low light is a blur/shadow. Will detect and record cars with lights on.

Reolink Go PT Ultra… great upgrade!!!
Received and setup fairly easily as this is an upgrade to my original Go PT Plus so I can spy on my ponies. The ULTRA picture quality is so superior to the PLUS, being 4K as opposed to 2K and loving the extras… you can set a monitoring position and you can preset points, for instance I’ve set points for views of the barn, paddock 1, paddock 2, paddock 3 and track, just press the button and it goes to the view you want.. it’s a genius idea and love that it automatically resets to the monitoring position when you close the app… the push notifications can get a bit annoying as I’ve not yet managed to get the sensitivity quite right yet so I’ve disabled them for now, until I’ve time to play around with it. It’s only been up just over 24 hours but so far I am very impressed.

Poor
It was ok while it lasted, support not helpful. Only 7 months old and not functioning correctly, solar panal not powerful enough to keep a charge for even the most infrequent alertsEdited to review customer service after replacement solar panel sent out can’t fault the speed in which it was replaced ensuring no downtime . Back up to 5☆ for their customer service. But sadly the unit is No use at all in winter temp UK won’t hold a charge when charged externally, and doesn’t charge at all, despite bright skies when cold. Not worth the money , very unreliable
