R36S Retro Handheld Video Game Console -Linux System,3000mAh Battery,3.5 Inch Screen,64G TF Card,20000+ Classic Games,Portable Game Console for Present to Give Friends for Christmas-Blue

Great little machine, fantastic value.
There’s an incredible amount of games included on the card. Great little feature where you can click a single button to add a game to favourites so you can easily find it again among the thousands of them. The screen is really clear and bright and the sound is more than loud enough. Other than the economics of the little console causing slight fatigue to the wrists after an hour or so of gaming, I couldn’t fault it. Battery life is more than adequate too.

Super fragile handset
My son bought this with his Christmas money and upon opening spent a couple hours trying to set it up to ‘mod it’ whatever that means! He bought a SIM card to do this. However he placed it on the coffee table and our foster dog brushed past and knocked it onto the rug. You would think it would be fine as the screen didn’t crack or look damaged, however when he turned it on the screen display inside was cracked so he’s now unable to use it at all. This literally happened the first day he got it. It’s really disappointing, the coffee table is super low and it fell onto a rug so I’m wondering if it’s just made of really weak materials. He can’t buy another one as doesn’t have the funds. So do be careful, it’s very fragile. I’m sure it great and works well but you need to ensure you take care with it.

Excellent for NES, SNES, Megadrive/Genesis, PS1 and GBA and Arcade systems
Did a transfer using Win32 Disk Imager to a fast SD card and now get 16 seconds boot up times. Also found a USB WIFI dongle that worked (connected via USB to USB-C adapter) among my collection and did an online update to the July 2025 image (took about 20 minutes)Don’t bother with N64, PSP and Dreamcast, too many slowdownsExcellent for most other emulators.I couldn’t insert coins for Asteroids and Asteroids Deluxe in MAME2003 emulator so in the OPTIONS (System Configuration) section I chose File Manger (press A key to select it) and then navigated to mame2003 -> mame2003-plus -> cfgand then I deleted asteroid.cfg and astdelux.cfg (press X to get the Delete option), then press Y and select Quit (press A to select any option) to get back to the main system menu, then press B to get back to the emulators selection screens. When you restart Asteroids or Asteriods Deluxe you can now enter coins by pressing the select button, as normal. There are very good online guides for this system which you should look up and read to get the best out of the system, but this particular difficulty with a couple of arcade classics was not mentioned anywhere that I could find.

Great Retro Handheld with Tons of Games
This R36S retro handheld is a lot of fun and definitely worth it. It comes loaded with a massive collection of classic games right out of the box, so there’s always something to play. The menu is easy to use, and the Linux system runs smoothly without any issues. The 3.5-inch screen looks really good for retro games, and the controls feel comfortable and responsive. Battery life is solid too—the 3000mAh battery lasts long enough for extended play sessions, which is great for traveling or just relaxing at home. It’s lightweight, portable, and feels well made for the price. If you enjoy old-school games or want a handheld you can pick up and play anytime, this is a great option. Highly recommended for retro gaming fans.

Mann, no extra sd card. 20.000 games not the other games they advertised
