All Link2Home camera devices feature sound and motion detectors. When triggered, the app will take a snapshot of the event which is then saved in the app’s “Message Center.”

System Requirements
For proper operation, the Link2Home WiFi Outdoor Weatherproof Camera requires a WiFi connection, a mobile device (iPhone or Android) with iOS 8 or later, Android 4.1 or later, and a free Link2Home Pro account (the app).
You can record video clips of activity using the in-built memory card function or cloud service. Using a microSD card: 16GB microSD Card – up to 3 days; 32GB microSD Card – up to 5 days; 64GB microSD Card – up to 10 days; 128GB microSD Card – up to 21 days. With an additional cloud subscription (sold separately) you have 24/7 monitoring with key events recorded. So, you can scan through up to 30 days of event video history to see what you’ve missed.

Great camera
This camera looks to be really good. I only set it up this morning, and I’m just waiting for an extension lead to put it where I want. It wasn’t that hard to set up and I’m a tech dinosaur. It does work inside the house looking out over my drive. This is good for me cause I’m disabled and can’t climb ladders any more.

Link2Home has a number of IP cameras in its range and this is a smaller than average pan and tilt type designed for indoors or out.The white and silver finish on this model looks stylish, and the camera measures around 11cm high with a base diameter of 8cm. It has no distracting antenna like some IP cameras, which gives it minimalist style.It can rotate a near 360 degrees on its base and will tilt (up and down) around 90 degrees. Angle of view from the lens is 100 degrees, and picture quality is full HD 1080p.The base plate has 3 holes for mounting onto a wall/ceiling (screws provided), power is by a supplied by a reasonably generous 2m long cable and plug with.The camera is controlled by the App ‘Link2Home’ and once downloaded is easy to connect and set up. Simply point the camera lens to the QR code when it appears on your phone/tablet screen. Adding further cameras is just as simple.Once connected the App has all the basic functions for viewing and recording. Note that the camera is fixed at the angle to which it is manually set at, and is not controlled by the App once it is mounted.The basic summary of functions:1) Full 360 degree horizontal rotation (pan), controlled manually, not on the App2) 90 degree up and down (tilt), again controlled manually, not controlled by the App3) Record and photo facility4) Speak and listen facility5) Cloud storage available6) Motion/sound alert (can be turned on/off under settings)7) IR for night viewing (can be turned on/off under settings)Picture quality is HD and is excellent, lens is wideangle for good coverage. There are no options to adjust brightness/contrast/colour, but these look ok on the factory settings.Overall it’s a great looking camera, with good HP quality images but remember that the angle of view cannot be controlled by the phone App like many other, similarly priced, IP security cameras.

Good image quality and solid wifi connection
I’ve used link2home before including their spotlight camera and this one is just as good, image quality is solid for 1080, I already had a hole in my wall from an old security light and the connector is not very large passed easily through it, from there it’s a simple case of mounting the camera and plugging it in, the Link2Home app works well and is easy and intuitive to use, wifi connection to my router is solid with zero lag to speak off, all in all, another great camera from Link2home, recommended to all.

Good camera but
The Link2Home outdoor smart camera is a smart and stylish looking security camera. Extremely easy to set up and install, and the smartphone app is easy to use, providing a sharp image and a wide angle. This was installed to look out over a side garden on our property to monitor garden buildings during the day and night. The night vision quality is good, able to see night time animal visits and the motion sensor and alert is handy, but can also be annoying after a while as your phone will receive numerous notifications, but this can be disabled easily. The sound and speaker is useful, but in my installation not really required, although it would be more suitable near a delivery door to talk to visitors etc. The main disappointment is that it only comes supplied with quite a short power cable, which makes it virtually useless to use straight from the box, as it is difficult to install it outside and be within a short distance of a power supply. It could be plugged into an outside plug, but firstly it would then not be able to keep it waterproof and secondly any intruders could simply unplug it, making it completely pointless! I had to purchase a 5m extension cable seperately at a small cost, under £5, but for the cost of the camera kit, it should be already included and will always be needed as I can’t see how you could use the camera without it. The cable required is standard 12v CCTV extension power cable, available in many lengths. The product description ommits the length of the supplied cable, so buyers need to be aware of this.
