Worx pole cutter
Got this as an empty unit as already had batteries and charger from other tools in the range so was a cheaper purchase.. used it to cut high shrubs and hedges in the garden, works well and is usual high quality product from Worx, easily adjustable with a decent reach cuts thru very thin branches but anything thicker it struggles a bit, could have done with having bigger gaps between the blades tbh however it’s a useful addition to the collection of other Worx cordless garden tools I’ve built up over several years.

Worx Pole Hedge Trimmer v Ryobi
After my Ryobi packed up i bought the Worx pole hedge trimmer. I consider the Worx much better than the Ryobi. It’s sturdier particularly on long reach, easier to use as it adjusts easily. I already had the batteries and was cheaper. Won’t cut anything bigger than my thumb but I have long reach pruning shears. Overall, a good product like most of the Worx kit. Might buy the chainsaw extension.

Good product, but it can seem heavy
A mixed bag of views here.It works and cuts well within the given parameters. The extension is sufficient for most gardensIt angulates nicely according to need and it’s easily adjustable. Its part of the worx ecosystem and charges quicklyA 2Ah battery goes a long wayLess good:It can be heavy for some peopleBlades rust easily (ensure oiling after each use)It suits my purposes fully, but in comparison with a corded hedge trimmer on a pole, there is not much between them. These things are unwieldy and more or less heavy. The ease of setting up, ie pick it up, pop in the battery and go cutting is unrivalled. No messy cables and no rushed tidying up in case of rain. That is the real strength and it induces a more regular light cut than a mammoth trim twice a year.

Good product
Best thing iv ever invested in. Light weight to begin with but it does weigh you down when cutting for longer periods. However my upper body strength isn’t the greatest! Every year I have to tackle the most longest hedges known to man due to poor upkeep on the other side! The ladders are getting a little scary for me so bought this bad boy! They glide through thin hedge branches but do struggle with thick so keep a electric or petrol trimmer to hand for those. It has cut down the workload massively. Came well packaged. Instructions are vague but its not rocket science to put together. All in all i can’t moan. Beats getting stabbed by hedges when leaning on the ladders!

Fantastic in every way
Fantastic product, incredibly easy to use. We have a very large garden with a wide range of trees and hedges and the combination of adjustable angle and extendable blade makes it easy to tackle anything! The battery has a pleasantly surprising long life. Jobs that had previously taken several hours to do now take under an hour. Great value for money, feels really sturdy without being too heavy, highly recommend.

So far, a good solid item
This has been super useful for diy tree maintenance and general use. Long reach, good power, not too noisy and so far, reliable. Only negative is weight/balance of item when at full extension.

Made for a man, but still very useful!
I really rate Worx products and have several now; it’s great that you can buy the unit without a battery/charger if you already have one, saving money and waste. There are also regular discounts, if you can wait for the opportune moment to buy.I have fairly high hedges, and as I get older, hedge trimming on a ladder is getting more difficult, and less safe. The pyracantha also cuts me to ribbons when I tackle it each winter, but the birds love it so I put up with it. Plus, there’s the hassle of trailing extension cables through the house and garden, hoping you don’t trip on it, get it stuck, or cut through it. All resolved by this one excellent product!I’ve dropped a star because, like many power tools, it was clearly made for a man with a larger wingspan and hands than mine. It therefore feels unbalanced when extended (despite the strap), really hefty, and difficult to use. But in its defence, my hedges are quite thick, especially if the neighbours haven’t cut their side, and I probably need more practice with it.First impressions, it was very effective at cutting the privet and the pyracantha down to size (without me getting stabbed in the process since I was well out of the way – In Your Face, devil plant!)The reach is seriously impressive if you can manage to hold onto it, and it isn’t difficult to assemble or adjust. You’re also likely to get the job done much more quickly, on account of not needing to faff about with aforementioned cables. Just remember to charge the battery first! I have the 4Ah battery, which has been going strong for 5+ years, and which I find to be very powerful and long lasting.I see the bad reviews, but despite it not being made for me, and sore muscles the day after using it, I am really pleased I bought it (on offer). No more flailing precariously up a ladder!
