An Exceptional TV for the Price: PHILIPS 43PUS7000 4K LED Smart TV Review
I have been using the PHILIPS 43PUS7000 for about 2 weeks now and I’m thoroughly impressed by the performance this TV delivers, especially considering its budget-friendly price point of £239 (at the time of purchase, it’s actually been even lower!).Key Features:Crystal Clear Picture: The 4K Ultra HD resolution, combined with Pixel Precise technology, provides a remarkably clear picture that is vibrant and detailed—truly excellent for a budget model and comparable to ones 50% more expensive.Premium Design and Feel: Despite the low price, the television boasts a high-quality, premium feel. The build quality and slim bezels make it look much more expensive than it is. The remote is also a nice solid feeling one vs the usual cheap light plastic.Easy Setup Process: Getting the TV up and running was incredibly easy. The initial setup was quick and intuitive, making it accessible even for those who are not tech-savvy (it’s very much plug and play).Smart Features: Running on the Titan OS Platform and featuring Dolby Atmos sound, this set offers modern smart functionality and solid audio performance. The only downside is Titan does miss some apps, though more are being added all the time.Voice Assistant Integration: Seamlessly works with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant, adding a layer of convenience to controlling the TV and other smart home devices.Overall:The PHILIPS 43PUS7000 4K LED Smart TV is an outstanding purchase. It successfully punches above its weight class, delivering a clear picture and a premium feel that are usually reserved for higher-priced sets. The easy setup is the final touch on what is an excellent TV for the money. At £239, this is a five-star television that I highly recommend for anyone seeking a feature-rich, high-value 4K display in a compact size.

    Absolute Junk
This TV is unusable. It’s laggy and the picture quality is terrible but the worst thing is the completely unstable internet connection. This is a known issue with Philips TVs, they can’t handle being connected to WiFi so frequently drop out. I didn’t know that when I bought mine, I trusted the brand – it’s apparently just as bad as all the other Chinese crap but with a familiar name printed on it.This is cheaply made rubbish, buy something else.

Great set with sharp picture and plenty of features – stand lets it down!
Our old TV screen developed a shadow which wasn’t repairable cost effectively. Time to replace with something more modern without spending a fortune as it was for the conservatory so wasn’t the man box in the house. We went for this Freely model as we wanted to position the TV in a different corner of the room but were previously prevented from doing so due to the position of the incoming aerial feed. This model has Freely built in meaning the broadcast signal arrives via broadband (this model has wifi so no need for ethernet feed) so you can technically position the TV absolutely anywhere as you’re not limited to an aerial input. The picture is smooth with no obvious buffering. We do however have gigabit ethernet. If your internet is slow then it could be a problem but we’ve had no issues at all. I chose Philips as some of the cheaper brands have menu interfaces that are basic and feel poor quality and often their remote also lets them down. The picture is super sharp, has loads of brightness adjustments etc. The menu and interface is logical and well laid out. My only gripe is that is can be laggy with a noticeable delay between button presses and anything happening. On first impression the remote seems basic with not many buttons. One reviewed did concern me when they wrote about the lack of any numbered buttons. However the remote does have numbered buttons but you need to press the 123 button and all of a sudded illuminated numbered buttons appear. But they can be hidden when not needed. Quite a near idea to keep the remove clutter free.It has all of the features you’d need, all of the expected apps for catch up tv, Netflix, BBC iPlayer, YouTube etc. The only thing I changed was to buy a new stand as the little feet on either end of the frame are a pain if you want to put on a corner cabinet. A replacement was less than £10 so no big deal. I imagine that better quality centre stands add more cost hence the inclusion of these useless feet on either end.Overall I can recommend this mode for the features and price point. You should take note that this isn’t a particularly expensive TV for the quality you received. Cure the menu speed and stand type and it’d increase to full five stars.

stupid remote control with no numbered buttons
terrible remote control handset its got no buttons on it to change channels to go from channel 1 to channel 60 for example you need to push a button and it goes through channels one at a time its goes quicker the more you hold the button up but what was wrong with having numbers so could just put in the channel number and go to it all so the volume button up and down and mute is all on the one switch which sticks up out of the remote about a eighth of a inch so its almost impossible for older people or people with hand problems to use it because you have to use your finget nails to push it up or down and you accidently mute the sound every time you use it all so the is no exit button like on other remotes so if you use a app such as freely tv and you want to exit it you cant you have to use the back button instead to exit back to the tv but the app is still stuck on your tv because you can not delete the freely tv app from a phillips tv i had to down load a remote tv app from phillips on to my phone and then use that as a remote the picture controls for brightness are just 3 settings the colour controls are the same and using the advanced settings only allows you put in more or less of a single colour at a time for instance more blue or more red ? i sent the tv back and got a refund
