If yours turns out to be an American import, it should not be plugged into UK kitchen sockets!….
Had to get a full refund on this, as the one that was sent to me, which was a gift for someone for Christmas only had a European plug attached to it. Didn’t say in the description that this would be the case!IUpdate: turns out, this wasn’t a European plug after all. We found a suitable American adaptor (the gadget is an American import – I hadn’t noticed when I ordered it). Plugged it in and big sparks came out / blew up, probably due to the voltage incompatibility. I’m instances like this, there’s always going to be a safety / fire risk. Amazon should be proactive in making customer be 100% aware this gadget can be UK compatible but there is a chance it can be an American import too. It was not highlighted well enough!!
