Great watch
Really liking this watch. I don’t use it for sports or anything, just for general use, phone calls and counting my steps. Battery life is really good compared to other smartwatches. I chose this due to being able to answer calls without taking phone out. Has a good mini speaker for mp3 etc too.Battery lasts me 10days from general usage and with Always on display turned on. That’s great compared to what other watches have given. The advertised 21day battery is not possible if used regularly.

Great Value Premium Smart Watch
The Huawei GT watches offer great value for money. You get a plethora of premium features for a very reasonable price. I’m a runner so tracking my individual runs, performance and recovery is important to me and this device does all that and more. It looks amazing, is light on the wrist and has a large enough screen that I can see whats going on without my glasses. I can answer calls and message direct from my wrist, I can even make calls without the need to reach for my phone. It has advanced metrics like HRV and running dynamics such as ground contact time, balance and vertical oscillation. My only knock is that the flouroelastomer strap was not very comfortable but I managed to pick up one of the Huawei composite straps which was much better. Much is made of the need to download Huawei Health app direct from Huawei but if you have a Samsung phone the app is available in the Galaxy Store.I had a Huawei watch GT Runner a few years back and loved that watch until it started over-heating, the GT 6 is a suitable successor and overall I am very pleased with it.

So far so good. A definite upgrade
It’s meeting all my expectations so far. A definite upgrade on my GT2 (to be expected), but nice that I feel like I’ve got something decent on my wrist. A decent bit of heft – I like a watch with a bit of substance. Loads of work out options, far more than I will ever use, but just generally a good watch with lots to keep me occupied. And I got £30 off the price.

Better than the average.
I bought this watch after viewing a myriad of comparison reviews on You Tube. In terms of features and health monitoring, it seems to significantly out-perform other brands at the same price point. What I particularly needed was a watch that could accurately track heart rate during exercise activities. I already owned a Amazfit GTR 2, which I had become increasingly frustrated with during treadmill sessions because of constant issues with the heart rate monitor freezing, and, consequently, my phone activity tracking app telling me I had put no effort into the activity, and burned very few calories. I have since found out that this is a common issue with Amazfit. I looked to upgrade to the latest Amazfit, with better sensor tech, but I read that even this upgrade had issues with accuracy. However, I took the plunge and purchased a GT 6. There is also a ‘Pro’ version for an additional £50, which offers upgraded hardware, and some additional features, but I made do with the lesser model, and a set of £3.99 screen protectors.First impressions are that everyday battery life is excellent. I don’t have my watch set to always-on, but it is set to receive notifications from my phone, with mild vibration alerts, and also constantly measure heart rate. This profile has consumed between 4-6% battery each day. I can easily keep it topped up by charging it for 10-15 minutes in the morning, whilst in the shower. The heart rate display appears to update every 5-10 seconds, which is a huge improvement on my previous watch.Navigating the watch menus is reasonably easy. I managed to find the features that I needed without resorting to You Tube. I have managed to download additional apps from the Huawei app store without much drama, and also a couple of watch faces – a lot of these are chargeable, but there is also a fair selection of free ones to be had, if you search for them – these weren’t immediately apparent when I first looked at the choices. I have read in some reviews that the wallet/tap to pay feature doesn’t work in the UK, but that is not a particular feature that I would use.The accompanying Huawei Health phone app doesn’t seem to be as intuitive as my previous Amazfit app was, and, like all ‘free’ apps, there are enhancements that you are encouraged to subscribe to, but the basic features seem to offer sufficient functionality for my needs. There is a calorie counter for tracking your daily intake, which refers to a database of suggested foods when you start typing the description. Once you have put a meal contents together, you can save it to use again . For a weight loss plan, it will tell you what your daily calorie allowance is, and track your intake against it. It also off-sets any calories burned through exercise. I don’t feel the need to pay £59/year for dietary, exercise, and well-being tips.Overall, I am very pleased with this watch. It might be overkill for the average wearer, such as myself, with features such as multi-band GPS, that I probably wouldn’t miss if the watch didn’t have it, but ultimately, what I do need it for it appears to do reliably well.

Great purchase
Amazing watch, very smart, it can detect when you are doing specific workouts. Battery last ages with it all features on. One thing I forgot is to purchase cover. But great watch don’t hesitate to buy

The best fit tracker I’ve found.
I’ve had this a month now, upgrading from their fit tracker. Firstly, I’m a man and I’ve bought the “woman’s” version. It’s the perfect size to look like a normal watch, and with plenty of strap options, you can dress this up or down – it’s not gigantic like most watches, so looks more like a real watch and less like a laser. The battery life is about 8 days with everything switched on. And what’s in the watch is…everything. Advanced health trackers, every metric possible. Its sleep and fitness metrics in particular are much better than the old tracker. The emotional wellbeing is a bit pointless, but the built in GPS means running is now far more accurate. It’s also fast, has a great array of free watch faces and also looks a lot better than the photos. Zero complaints. Its app is compatible with iPhone and android – I’ve got it tied to the health and strava apps with no troubles.I tried a lot of fit trackers before landing on this one. For a combo of battery life, health and wellness tracking and wearability, this can’t be beaten currently at the price point.

Very pleased
Had the GT2 and GT4. The 6 is a further improvement counting indoor swimming lengths correctly each time.Works well with Huawei Health app so long as you give your phone the necessary permissions.Small criticism is you have to buy most of the watch faces – only a few are actually “free”. Depends on taste. If you choose “hands” (analogue appearance) they obscure some the data on the face at various times of the day, so I avoid those.Price ranges from 49p to £4.99 or you can subscribe monthly to get access to loads (don’t!)
