Bye Fitbit, You Had a Good Run 👋
Switched from Versa 4 to the Huawei Watch Fit 5 and here’s a more detailed breakdown of why it made sense for me:Hardware feels noticeably outdated on FitbitAfter using Fitbit for a while, the interface started to feel slow and less responsive. The Watch Fit 5 feels much more modern—snappier navigation, smoother animations, and a generally more “current-gen” experience.Battery life is a big upgradeWith Fitbit, I was constantly thinking about charging. The Watch Fit 5 easily lasts days longer on a single charge, which makes it much better for daily wear and travel.Fitbit Premium became a dealbreakerA lot of useful health insights are locked behind a subscription. Over time it felt like I was paying extra just to access my own data in more detail. I prefer having core features included upfront.More features included without extra costHuawei gives you solid health tracking out of the box—sleep analysis, heart rate, workout tracking, stress monitoring—without constantly pushing you toward a paid plan. That makes the experience feel more complete.Better overall value for the priceThe Watch Fit 5 feels lighter, more comfortable, and has a brighter display that’s easier to read outdoors. Design-wise it also feels more premium than what I expected at this price point.Overall, it just feels like a more complete and modern fitness watch without the subscription pressure.

One of the best watches, my opinion its better the samsung/apple
Absolutely great product to have, comes very well packed in its own style box,Whats in the box, fit 5 watch, charging cable and cradle, instructions,Once the top lid is removed the watch is in the middle and looks absolutely amazing, Comes with a white strap already attached, once the watch is removed the instructions and charger is in there own little pockets. This is so easy to set up and connect with the phone, just scan the QR code on the box and install the app, once the watch is switched on follow on screen first set up,This comes with a built in GPS as well as an activity/fitness tracker along with blood and O2 oxygen monitor as well as stress levels, i use this along side health connect to track my fitness levels in the gym,The strap is made from rubber and feels very comfortable around the wrist, the screen is square with a very thin profile with a weight of around 30 grams, the built in apps have been great and the whole watch is very easy to navigate around. This is properly one of the best fit watches I have used and ive used samsungs as well as apples and they dont compare to this latest version of the Huawei,For the price of this its amazing and is alot cheaper then the top named ones such as Samsung and Apple, this watch is a must go to.Me personally would definitely switch from Samsung to these as they are so kuch better, will be definitely getting the next one that comes out

A good fitness companion, great value
I was given this watch to review, but this will be an honest overview of it.I have a lot of experience of Huawei watches. I’ve owned and worn a GT3 pro for almost 4 years, my wife has had a GT 2 and currently has a GT 4 and 2 of my kids have FIT models, a 2 and a 4.I can honestly say that all the models we have owned have been consistently good. None have had any problems requiring services and the battery life is also good, even my 4 year old model lasts more than a week between charges .Once paired with my phone it immediately did an update. So how about the FIT 5? Well the first thing you need to do is download the Huawei health app. I had this on my phone all ready but it’s not available on the Google play store so you need to follow the qr code and download the APK file. It’s quick easy and not the end of the world, I don’t know if the app is on the apple store or if you need to do something similar as I only have only had android phones for years.Once installed it’s a simple process to pair the watch to the phone and then its just a case of agreeing what apps you want to be notified of and maybe changing the watch face. There are free ones and paid for ones. The paid for ones start at 49p and you can download a trial of most of them. The watch is easy to navigate , and initially you need to agree to the data collection for each sensor, this is repetitive but only needs doing once. Once completed you can check all the normal health stats and track many exercises.I found that logging an outside activity was simple, tap the bottom button and the exercise list pops up, selectnwhat you’re doing and hit start. The GPS locked on quickly , I chose an outside walk, and then over an hour with the dog the watch tracked my walk accurately and without incident. The watch lost only a few percentages of battery over the hour and the watch face was easy to read in the sunshine. When I went to bed the watch tracked my sleep and got the sleep and waking times pretty much spot on. Never sure how accurate the deep, light and REM readings are but the feature is there if you wanted it.So overall no issues at all with what the watch can do. One point to make is that the app choice for this range of watches is poor so you really need to be satisfied with what’s preloaded.Other items wmthis has is the ability to pay via the watch, you can’t use Google wallet, you need to install the curve pay app and setup an account with Curve. I haven’t done that but reviews suggest it works fine and it’s a nice option to have. It’s not available on old watches like my GT3 pro.Other pluses of the watch is that really light to wear and the strap is comfortable. You hardly know the watch is on your wrist. Notifications come thru fine and the slight buzz on the watch when one comes thru is unobtrusive. The display is sharp and bright and easy to read in all lights. One minor thing is that photos etc in messages don’t display on the watch at all. You can reply to them though via the watches keyboard.Worth mentioning that the Huawei health app is excellent , I’ve got 4 years of data on it and have transferred it from phone to phone over the years. I also have a Huawei smart scale for weight readings and you can manually add blood pressure etc to the app. It links to Stava as well form sharing activities. So overall for a cheap smart fitness watch this really is pretty good value. Provided you don’t want lots of additional apps and are happy to use curve for payments then this is a good option.Based on my experience you shouldn’t have my hardware issues and you will certainly get great battery life. It’s certainly worth considering especially if fitness tracking is the main aim.A few photos attached showing avious screens on the watch and app.
