Harman Kardon Aura Studio 5 – Stylish 360° Sound with Beautiful Ambient Lighting
After spending some time using the Harman Kardon Aura Studio 5, I can confidently say this speaker is designed to be both a sound system and a visual centrepiece for your home. The first thing you notice is the design. The transparent dome with built-in RGB lighting looks incredibly clean and modern. The lighting creates a soft ambient glow and projects subtle patterns onto the ceiling, which makes it great for relaxing evenings or background listening. It’s not designed to be a party-style light show, but more of a calm, premium atmosphere. When it comes to sound performance, the Aura Studio 5 delivers impressive results. The speaker produces deep, controlled bass, clear vocals, and detailed highs. The 360-degree sound design helps fill the room evenly, so music sounds consistent no matter where you’re sitting. It also stays clean and distortion-free even at higher volumes, which makes it suitable for larger rooms.I also liked the addition of the Harman Kardon app support. You can adjust EQ settings, control lighting effects, and manage connections directly from your phone, which adds a lot of convenience. Multi-speaker pairing through Auracast is another useful feature if you plan to expand your setup later. One important thing to know is that this speaker does not have a built-in battery, so it needs to stay plugged into power. This makes it more suitable as a home or desk speaker rather than something portable.Overall, the Aura Studio 5 is a great option if you want premium sound quality combined with elegant design and relaxing ambient lighting. It’s especially well-suited for living rooms, bedrooms, or workspace setups where you want both performance and aesthetics.

Series 4 was better – Series 5 is a letdown
I previously owned Series 4 of this product, which is why I confidently purchased Series 5. Unfortunately, this has been a very disappointing experience. In terms of design and overall aesthetics, Series 4 was significantly better. The Series 5 feels cheaper in material and finish, and it completely lacks the premium look and quality that the previous version had. The build quality is simply not what I would expect from this brand.Honestly, if I hadn’t owned Series 4 before, I might not have noticed the downgrade as much. But when compared directly, Series 5 feels like a step backward rather than an upgrade. For these reasons, I’m not satisfied with this purchase. If design quality and premium feel matter to you, I would strongly recommend reconsidering before buying this model.

★★★★★ Best Purchase in Years – A Modern Masterpiece That Brings Back Fond Memories
I just received my Harman Kardon Aura Studio 5, and wow, this is hands-down the best audio purchase I’ve made in years. It’s not just a speaker; it’s an experience that completely transforms how you listen to music.First off, the design instantly transported me back over two decades to my old iMac setup with the iconic Harman Kardon SoundSticks and that transparent dome subwoofer. The Aura Studio 5’s sleek, transparent dome feels like a loving evolution of that classic look: refined, elegant, and still utterly captivating. It’s a stunning centrepiece in my room (attached photo was a temporary set-up).The sound quality is phenomenal. The 360-degree audio fills the room effortlessly with crystal-clear clarity across highs and mids… vocals and instruments come through with incredible detail and separation. But the bass… oh, the bass is where it truly shines. That powerful down-firing subwoofer delivers deep, rich, rumbling lows that you feel in your chest without any distortion, even at higher volumes. It’s tight, controlled, and immersive, perfect for everything from jazz to electronic beats. What elevates this speaker to another level are the mesmerizing light features. The ambient lighting radiates through the dome and projects dynamic, nature-inspired patterns onto the walls and ceiling, things like rippling oceans, blooming blossoms, or flickering fireplaces. It’s absolutely hypnotic and syncs beautifully with the music, enhancing the mood in ways I didn’t expect. The customisable lights (via the easy Harman Kardon app) create an atmosphere that’s pure magic.Bluetooth connection is rock-solid, setup was a breeze, and the build quality feels premium all around.Would I buy this again? In a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a speaker that combines legendary Harman Kardon sound with visual artistry, the Aura Studio 5 is it. Highly recommended; it’s reignited my love for home audio!

Iconic design and phenomenal sound
For years, I’ve hesitated buying a soundbar for my LG OLED TV as there’s no space to put it because of the protruding TV foot. The other day, a friend showed me his Aura and I immediately imagined it resting right next to my TV on the fireplace. It works a treat. I’ve set it up via Bluetooth to play together with the LG speakers and the resulting soundstage is simply amazing with the TV configuration choice of either synchronised sound or surround. I will try surround next with the Aura placed at the rear of the room. The Harman One app and user experience is brilliant. Everything works and is easy to do. The light show and ambient sounds are a very nice touch that together with the iconic design make the Aura truly stand apart. The sound is phenomenal too with dedicate downward firing sub, mid and high drivers. For the 270 pounds I paid this is an outright bargain.
