It’s a fun camera!
I’m really impressed by this little camera. It’s fun and quirky. It’s point and press reminds me of the basic film cameras I had as a kid. Whip it out at a party and people will look at you as it’s unique. Point it, allow the auto focus to do its thing and click. I gotta say I seem to only want to use the black and white setting. Guess that’s the whole retro vibe of this device. Also the waist level viewing is perfect for candid shots. No fancy gimmicks, just a wholesome camera that encourages you to just take a picture.Oh it has a video function which again is fun for candid old school home movies.Don’t expect perfection and even that is a feature that makes it appealing.Just so you know I haven’t been offered any incentive to write a review. I just find this a breath of fresh air. I own DSLRs and good quality digital travel cameras but I genuinely to the low tech simplicity of this camera. View, compose a shot with no gadgets to enhance and click! A memory is made.

A fun, tiny, camera with average photo quality and not so good video
I’m not going to be too unkind to the Mini Retro Digital Camera, solely as it is really quite cute and fun to use…Photo size is 3456×3456 pixels (11,943,936 pixels total) making the sensor nominally 12 MP.Photo quality is reasonable (I’ve seen much worse!) and would produce a reasonable 4×6″ print, it is only viewing on a big screen at 1:1 that it really looks bad! I was unable to load a video sample to Amazon, so you will have to take my word for it not being particularly good!The screen is on the top of the camera, is very small and, despite being shielded by the folding ‘viewer’ is hard to see in bright sunlight – in duller conditions it is bright and colourful. Photo format is square, which is faithful to its heritage, 2.25″ square (6×6 cm) on 120 film was standard, back in the day. Video is cropped to 16×9 format at 1920×1080 pixels.Video may be taken by a long press on the shutter button, the top screen visibly changing format to indicate video shooting, alternatively, it can be started automatically by cranking the handle of the right hand side of the camera, filming continues while rotating the handle, stopping, with an on-screen countdown, after 6 seconds, I thought this to be a quirky, but fun, addition.Just like the original it copies, shooting is ‘best’ at lower chest / waist level, making it easier to view the screen.It is quite tiny and lightweight, but easy to hold reasonably steady, even when movie making turning the side handle.While not being of any exceptional quality in photographs, and poor quality in video, I’ve only taken one star off for my review, as it does, technically, do as intended (it isn’t a ‘serious’ camera) and is quirky enough to be fun to use, and could make a nice talking point too!

I absolutely love the camera, but I find their advertising on social media misleading. The quality of photos is NOT great, and the colors are wacky. But hear me out — I use it exclusively in the sepia mode, and my goal is to have photos looking like they’re from 1940s. For me the camera is perfect, the sepia and the grainy pics and the low quality are exactly what I need. If you’re into that, get it. Oh, and it’s not actually TLR, the second lenses is purely decorative.

Tolle kleine Kamera im Retrodesign. Die Aufnahme im Fotoformat ist 6×6 (wie früher die Yashica u.a.Rollfilm Kameras).Im Videomodus ist es 16:9. Bei guter Beleuchtung,also draußen, sind die Aufnahmen erstaunlich gut.Wer höhere Ansprüche hat sollte zur normalen Kamera greifen. Für den Preis ist die Kamera ein echtes Highlight und erregt einiges Aussehen beim Gebrauch. Ich bin mit dem “Kleinod” sehr zufrieden.

I used to have a yashica mat that I used 15+ years ago. With film harder to find and process, it has become bookshelf decor. Finding this was such a nice nostalgic surprise! It’s mini size and easy to carry. The top screen works just like the old film camera but of course it’s digital. That makes it so easy to get your photos right away. The quality is what you would expect from a novelty camera. It can record video as well.

Correspond en tous points à la description. La finition de ce mini apn est vraiment excellente. La qualité des photographies est bonne, bien entendu, à la hauteur de ses spécificités. Le petit plus, sauf erreur de ma part, la possibilité de visser un trépied. Le packaging est merveilleusement vintage. Acheté en souvenir de mon 6 x 6 de 1972. Bref un beau cadeau à faire pour un amateur de photographies
