Substandard and flammable
I picked these up for a bit of fun really, after seeing what are amongst the worst series of AI-generated plug photos in the history of AI slop. However, what arrived is far from fun.Fortunately what arrived isn’t AI slop, and fits a standard UK mains outlet. Unfortunately what arrived is also substandard.The first thing I did was open up the plug. The first thing that happened was the fuse clip slid off the fuse! A loose connection results in the current flowing through only the part making contact, this piece heats up, increasing the risk of fire. A very loose connection will arc across the gap, again heating up and increasing the risk of fire.A close-up photo of the fuse clip reveals what looks like a crack across the terminal. This isn’t just a one-off; opening the other plugs reveals they’re all like this with a weak spot right across the fixing hole.Staying with the terminals, see that copper clip? That’s not copper. It’s copper coated steel. Sticks to a magnet. The terminal screws stick to a magnet, too.The advert claims that the plug is flame retardant. The photo of the plug case burning away merrily in my kitchen sink suggests otherwise.Couple the fire-risk components with the flammable plug case and this is definitely one to avoid. Quality plugs are available for far less money.

Check the image. That will not fit in a UK socket. The pins aren’t aligned and whatever the fuse holder is doing is bizarre.This image is AI slop so you can judge whether the seller is reputable.I wouldn’t plug something I’d bought from them into a house I didn’t want to burn down!

Images don’t look like a UK 13 Amp plug, would not recommend buying.

Tight fit.
Took a while to get into the socket, but a rubber mallet works wonders!
