The Govee Pro TV Backlight delivers exactly what it promises, and does it well.What works really well• The standout feature is its camera-based lighting system, which reads colours directly from your TV screen.• Unlike HDMI-only systems, it works seamlessly with built-in TV apps (Netflix, YouTube, etc.), which was a key reason for my purchase.• In the evening or controlled lighting, the effect is genuinely impressive, immersive, accurate, and enhances the viewing experience significantly.• Pairing it with Govee Flow Plus Light Bars and syncing via the app creates a full-room lighting experience that feels premium.Things to be aware of (the “acceptable flaws”)• The system can be affected by external light sources (see image where backlight is green despite a blue screen, external light has created a yellow/orange reflection on the sceeen)• Daylight, reflections, or nearby room lighting (e.g. kitchen lights bouncing in) can distort colour accuracy.• Calibration takes patience, it’s a bit fiddly and requires tweaking settings to get the best result.• You’ll likely need to adjust app settings depending on content, although preset modes for films/programmes help and work well.Overall verdictIf you’re using your TV’s built-in apps and want immersive backlighting, this is a great choice. A brilliant upgrade to my OLED tv.
Very easy to install, it enhances the viewing experience. Even though I haven’t painted the wall white yet, the colours match exceptionally well. Various settings are available for light shows. Great value for money and easy to use from the app on your phone. I have mine linked to Alexa for added functionality.

Totally deflating and just not up to standard
I recently mounted a 65” 4K TV and wanted to level up the setup with reactive lighting that matched what was on screen, mainly for films and TV shows. After watching a bunch of reviews, I decided to spend a bit more and go for the higher-end Govee option, expecting a more premium and reliable experience. I’d even watched installation tutorials beforehand.Installation itself was pretty smooth and stress free. No complaints there. The disappointment came afterwards once everything was up and running.Despite calibrating the camera properly, tweaking the colour markers, and using it in a dark room with no sunlight or other lighting, it just didn’t sync consistently with what was on screen. The colours often felt off, and there was a constant orange/yellow glow in the bottom corners that had nothing to do with what was actually showing. I even tried shrinking the camera detection area to see if that helped, but it made no difference.When it did occasionally get the colours right, it wasn’t stable or reliable enough to actually enjoy. Instead of adding immersion, it turned into something I kept noticing for the wrong reasons, and I ended up paying more attention to the mismatched lighting than to what I was watching. That completely kills the point, especially at this price.I re-calibrated multiple times, factory reset, followed every bit of advice going, and double and triple checked the setup. It was just tiring and disappointing in the end, so I returned it the same day. Great idea in theory, but it didn’t deliver anything close to the “premium” experience I expected. If you want truly seamless screen-matched lighting, this wasn’t it for me.

Final Product is great.. when you get to it.
Once everything is setup.. the viewing experience is amazing! the colors and synchronization are so captivating to a point that I even sometimes zone out of the movie. Definitely an awsome addition to any home entertainment system.(HOWEVER) I had to knock a star off because the installation and calibration is a nightmare, especially if your TV is mounted. Prepare yourself for hours of youtube tutorials and calibration videos, also make sure you have a buddy to help you out when installing as this is definitely a two person job. ALSO mine got delivered with a noisy power adapter (coil whine) so I had to replace it with the my old Govee adapter which I had on hand.

Ottimk ambient leds per TV, il montaggio è la configurazione non è veloce ma abbastanza facile.Ovviamente non essendo collegati tramite hdmi per funzionare non devono esserci luci accese vicino.
