Very good!Can seems heavy after a while.Cuts very well and 25mm gap between blades allows it to go through established hedges etc with ease.Extends longer than any other cutter I could find on the market.I have the cordless model (blades at 18mm gap) and have upgraded to this model.I highly recommend it.

this extendable hedge trimmer is very good, but where the motor is, makes the item quite heavy when horizontal but extreemly good when vertical and when cutting tops of hedges

Good product lighter than some I’ve looked at however I’m 5’4” and struggle to do high level cutting on angle due to weight

It’s heavy, but can reach high bushes to trim with ease. Comes apart so easy to store.

Long but awkward to use
I bought this to replace a smaller lighter one. It does have a long reach and long cable but it is heavy (I am a fitness instructor and strong) and is awkward to control in certain positions. It does cut ok but struggled with branches that were more than 5mm thick. It did make it easier to cut my 8ft tall hedge as I didn’t need to go up the ladder so much, but I still couldn’t reach the back safely because of how heavy and unwieldy the cutter is. I think it’s more suited to conifers and privet rather than laurel and Hawthorne which have thicker stems. I feel for the money it could be better designed as it is awkward to use. I also don’t like that once it’s running you only need one hand on it as surely this is dangerous and could lead to accidents. I think there’s no reason for it to be so heavy – my previous one was a lot lighter and cheaper! Very difficult to use as a small woman with not a wide arm span.
