Great value entry level smart phone.
Phone was a replacement for my A13. Easy to set up from another Samsung phone with a link cable, much quicker than Bluetooth. I bought this in a Black Friday deal so paid about the same price as my phone from 5 years ago. Great all round android phone for all basic uses and an entry level camera. The screen quality is good but I do also like to cover with a glass screen for protection. The battery life so far is good and the size is compatable with other A Samsung models.

Definitely recommend 💯%
Oh what a wonderful mobile this is. I am absolutely hopeless at anything technical, this is so easy to find your way around, and for someone like me ( in the dark ages ) this is a great way to learn how to be in 2026 😅 picture quality is marvellous, so easy to link to your messages 😃Sad I know but this is very exciting for me 😂

This is a steal 10/10
I got the Samsung A17 for my mum and she absolutely loves it! It is so easy to use and navigate, even for older people who aren’t very confident with phones. The screen is clear, the menus are simple, and she can find everything she needs without any help. It’s perfect for staying in touch with family and browsing, and she feels confident using it every day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a reliable, user-friendly phone for older adults! It has amazing battery life and look great.

Price, fnctionality, battery cannot be faulted.Bought as a Amazon Exclusive deal
Better than expected, bought in a hurry to replace my phone which was beset by a dar shadow which started from the bottom and grew larger by the day. Quic to charge, good battery duration for the low level activities I need it for,

Good phone at a sensible price
Good phone at a sensible price. Wasn’t willing to pay hundreds for a phone that wasn’t really any better than this. Easy to set up and easy to use. Only quibble is that Samsung Smart Switch using the provided cable is rubbish (have found this before on Samsung devices). But transferring data wirelessly via Smart Switch is a doddle. Don’t let the cable issue put you off though…it’s a great phone.

Technology makes things easier. LOL.
Seems to work OK. Clunky camera lenses meaning it can’t lay flush to a flat surface. Display is good but the main thing I noticed is the unbelievable number of steps to setting up. It takes over two hours, constantly being asked to install apps, set up accounts, being forced to dismiss ads, turn off data sharing, then more accounts it wants you to set up, more pop-ups, more notifications, and it just goes on and on and on. On top of that, many of the functions are highly counter-intuitive. Even adding an email, which took two minutes on my old phone, takes ages – finding the app in appstore (there’s no email app installed but plenty of garbage like TikTok), configuring it, correcting its multitude of mistakes where it guesses the wrong server names, clearing all the pop ups and notifications, then searching it out again and manually placing it on the Home Screen – like you wouldn’t want it there anyway? I assume everything is like that now, no interest in the user experience, just trying to get as much out of the customer as possible.
