Wi-Fi Connection Procedure

Helpful Tips
To use the app features properly, ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection. If the connection is interrupted, some app functions may become unavailable (similar to how Bluetooth works on smartphones).Standard video recording on the dash cam will not be interrupted even if the Wi-Fi connection is lost. You can continue to view recorded videos as long as the dash cam remains powered.The dash cam’s Wi-Fi range is approximately 3 meters. It is only used to connect the dash cam to the mobile app and does not provide internet access.
G-Sensor & Emergency Lock

A: You can choose 1, 2, or 3 min video segments. If audio is enabled in the menu, recording will include sound.
Q: Will the dash cam work without WiFi, such as in mountains?
A: Yes. Recording works without WiFi. WiFi is only for connecting the dash cam to your phone, not for internet use. GPS may drop in tunnels or covered areas, but video recording continues normally.
Q: Does the dash cam have a battery? Is it rechargeable or wireless?
A: The dash cam has a small built-in battery only for saving settings when power is lost. It is not rechargeable, not wireless, and stops recording when the car is off (24-hour monitoring is possible with a hardwire kit). It must be powered via car charger, USB-C cable, or hardwire kit.
Q: Does the dash cam keep recording after I turn off my car? What are Parking Monitor and Parking Mode?
A: Parking Monitor: The camera turns off when the car is shut down but remains in impact detection mode. If a collision occurs, the camera will turn on automatically, recorda 1-minute video, and then shut off.

Fantastic Quality, Easy Install, Excellent Value.
This was my first dashcam install so I was a little worried but when I received the item I was put at ease, the instructions were very clear and straight forward.I also hardwired the R5 Pro dashcam using a kit which is sold separately, it worked seemlessly so I’ve now got parking protection on the dashcam which is a real piece of mind when I park in carparks etc and also at night.The dashcam itself looks real good in my car, and the quality of the item feels very well made with buttons that don’t feel cheap, it’s very sturdy. The picture quality is brilliant and the screen shows both front and rear views at the same time. I’m very happily pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend it to my friends and family.

Excellent bit of kit. Easy to install, and the image quality is superb. The GPS works well and is a great asset. Decent video quality and does the job
The Alltotive 4K Dash Cam front and rear delivers decent video quality and does a good job capturing clear footage during the day and night. Installation is fairly straightforward, and having both front and rear cameras is a useful feature. However, it’s disappointing that the GPS service requires a paid subscription, which isn’t clearly expected for a dash cam at this price. Overall, it’s an average product that works as intended.

Good features but the physical design can only tilt the view upward-downward. So you will have to attach the camera in an awkward direction to cover a proper angle.

Messy Setup, Weak Build, and Disappointing Performance
My first impressions weren’t great. The dashcam feels cheap, very lightweight. It has a plastic, low‑quality feel with no real weight to it. The GPS module also takes up extra space on the windscreen, which is already crowded because of all the wiring. You end up with the GPS module, the main camera cable, and the rear camera cable all running across your windscreen, which looks messy and intrusive.Installation wasn’t smooth either. The cables are thick, and the included crevice tool is flimsy and not fit for purpose, it’s just cheap plastic. The only positive is that the rear camera power cable is long enough.Unfortunately, the view and overall video quality aren’t great either, which makes the whole setup even more disappointing. Overall, it’s not worth the money. I only chose this model because it came with a 128GB microSD card and a 2‑year warranty, but the product itself doesn’t live up to expectations.

My basic old cheap dash cam gave up and so I decided to have a look at getting a new one, After a lot of looking at cameras on amazon and looking at reviews I decided this one would best suit my needs.Extremely easy to fit with fitting film to put on your window to help it stick better.Connecting to WiFi very easy, Just join network and put in their default password.Downloading the 1 min storage files (you can make files longer than 1 min if you want) take a few seconds to download onto my phone.You can adjust settings on the app.The app seems to work as it should, There is an option to upgrade to get more features like Maps, It is something like £9 a year £33 lifetime, It is a shame they don’t offer a 7-day free trail for us to test before jumping in with a purchase, I personally gave the upgrade a miss because of this reason.Be aware there is no battery in it, it comes on when you turn the key, you can get a permanent wire kit if you want to have it on parking mode.Also be aware the rear camera isn’t waterproof, I have a van so I need to figure out a way of fitting but overall I am extremely happy with this camera, (especially for the price I paid) and I can 100% recommend it to others.Build quality:Good build quality and nice packaging it came in.Memory card:128gb includedWifi connectivity:Very easy to connect to the WiFi
