I ordered the Cableguys Marvel Smiley Toddler Groot Controller Holder & Phone Stand mainly because I’m a big Guardians of the Galaxy fan, and I have to say it’s a fantastic piece in itself. The statue has been sculpted and painted brilliantly, with so much detail that it really stands out as a decorative piece even when it’s not holding anything. It’s also a good size — sturdy enough to hold my large phone securely, which is something other stands have struggled with.The only downside I found was that the cassette tape sticker wasn’t applied properly. It had quite a few air bubbles in it, which was a bit of a let-down considering how well-made the rest of the figure is. I managed to smooth it down a bit, but it still doesn’t quite match the otherwise excellent quality and attention to detail.Overall though, it’s a lovely item — both functional and eye-catching. It holds a phone or controller perfectly, and looks really cool even when it’s just sitting on the desk. I absolutely love it!
