Great power bank for hiking, exploring and camping!
Took this out hiking loads, its taken a few knocks and scrapes but fully happy still. It can charge my iphone 7+ 6 times and anything else like a nintendo switchs that need to go camping…I took this away on a camping holiday earlier this year and ran my phone off it for 3 days no issues (camped with no electic hookup) and I’d used it a lot for maps and navigation. The solar charge alone is almost a trickle charge (say if the power banks empty)- so I’ve been out with the bank empty once and managed to charge off the sun very slowly to my phone. Not ideal but its better than nothing. The bank does charge via solar obviously however this is quite slow, so would deffo advise charging it via a plug first and then top it up as your out walking and enjoying the weather. Its brill you have the option to charge via solar just in case as every bit of power helps when you need it :)Cant fault the durability and battery life, this is a worthwhile product even if your phone battery is going and you need a power bank to get around, it has multiple usb’s out so you can charge multiple things at once too which is amazing. BUY THIS! 😀

A great power bank, but solar charging is very slow
I, like many others I would suspect, bought this so that I could leave it in the sun during the day, then charge my phone overnight free of charge. The power bank itself is a good capacity with good quality connections. I found the wireless charging with my Fold 4 to be a case of finding the sweet-spot (don’t forget you have to press the power button briefly to start the unit searching for a wireless device) which can take a few goes. It charges at a good rate from the USB ports when using a decent power brick, and in return will fast-charge my phone using a good USB cable (USB C being slightly faster).Unfortunately, and not surprisingly really given the internal battery capacity, it takes a very long time to charge using the solar panels, and isn’t really feasible for the subsequent daily charging of power-hungry smart phones just from solar itself. The boy scout in me likes the idea that if I was stranded somewhere with my phone and this power bank, I would always have access to power for charging my phone given enough time, facilitating a rescue. In reality, it’s a lovely idea which won’t really have practical applications until PV panels are more efficient in the future.

NOT FUNCTIONAL in practical terms, as a Solar Charger. Update Sept.’23, purchases Dec’22 & Mar’23
UPDATE SEPT’23For combined reasons I have now tried FIVE of these “Solar” Chargers (Two RIAPOW & three HILUCKEY, which in my opinion all come from the same factory). NONE of them have any practical use if you want them to charge by sunlight. The solar panels produce such a small current that, in my view, is actually used up by the status indicator lights. They DO NOT charge the internal battery AT ALL, even after extended periods (days) in unobstructed good light. The suppliers, when contacted initially, were very quick to refund the purchase price BUT made it very clear by inference that they were unwilling to swap them for units that actually worked properly. As a mains charged power bank they are adequate only, but there are more compact & capable units that do not weigh quite as much. Therefore it makes no sense to buy these. I would love to hear from people that write so called independent test reviews, to find out where they got their working versions from! I cannot now recommend these units and in the absence of any fully/correctly working ones would actually discourage you from buying these. Two of these are also showing discolouration to the orange silicone (?) raising questions to the durability of hose parts too. Somewhat sad, because the base idea is very good.Original Review:- {Sept’23: No further response received}:Bought two on this order. Chunky device that feels substantial as if it should last.Great as a portable charger once it has been charged from MAINS POWER – large capacity refuels my phone multiple times. Later then bought a third one as a gift for a friend.Sadly I then found the problem. We didn’t get any decent weather for a long time so I only recently got to try the SOLAR charging. NEITHER unit will charge by sunlight. The indicators show that the solar panel is active and the level indicators cycle through the four blue led’s. However, both units FAIL to create a stored charge even after three full days under unobstructed good daylight.I contacted the manufacturer and to their credit they DID give a full refund for the two, but could not explain why the units do not work as they should. At that time, the third one I bought DID charge by sunlight, BUT in the last few days (2 June 2023), it ALSO NOW WILL NOT CHARGE IN SUNLIGHT even though the indicators show it to be working. To sum up:- Sadly NOT a GOOD BUY for the intended purpose and is only good as a high capacity power pack once charged from the mains. Have to wait and see what the response is about the third unit not now working properly.

Works perfectly within reasonable expectations
I think some reviewers do not understand the technical limitations of solar charging and how slow it actually is, I never thought it would be more than a trickle charge or an emergency backup.Device is great value imo, using it on my one month holiday right now and it holds up well throughout the day. I can charge my phone with the same cable I use to charge the Powerbank (usb c is in and output), and I can wirelessly charge my phone on the Powerbank while it is being charged from the wall, eliminating the need for another cable on overnight charging. Wireless charging isn’t super fast but great for my headphones and if I just can’t be bothered with a cable. It charges my MacBook air, GoPro, pixel 6, pixel buds and my wife’s galaxy zflip 4 every day ATM (topping up, not full charge) so we can comfortably be off the power grid on our trip with no worries.Yea it’s heavy but same as solar, if you complain about this just get a smaller Powerbank, it’s physics. Batteries just don’t get lighter.

Useful to charge phone wirelessly on long journeys
This was great for a long journey on the coach where there wasn’t a power outlet to us. Charging time was relatively quick and I was able to use it to charge my fine on a long journey. It doesn’t way much more than a phone in a case, also doubles as a torch which is convenient to use in the dark. Good ruggest quality, nice and portable so you can pack into your bag and take out when needed.
