Mr. A. Carlton –
handy kitchen tool, just wish it was bigger
this is a decent device if you’re looking to just chop stuff like the odd fruit or vegetable. it isn’t suitable for much more than that however. you can only really fit 1 or 2 items in it at a time and then it’ll occasionally jam because the contents are too tough for the little blades to spin through so it is necassary to make a few chops with a knife before placing inside the crankchop itself. i use this to dice onions, carrots, the odd apple etc and it does a decent chop at getting things nice and small after a few cranks.i did manage to cut myself before first using it because the blade protector doesn’t cover the part of the blades that pass through the stem of the rotor. didn’t notice this until i was bleeding from my finger.recommended just wish it was bigger with stronger blades and the blade cover needs to fully cover the sharp edges.

Clunky and awkward
You can’t get the lid wet at all, or it’ll rust the springs inside. However, the lid gets dirty every time I use the crank chop, so I have to dry wipe the dirt off and hope that no water gets into the lid. Cranking feels awkward and the whole thing feels like it’s one step away from falling apart

It looks good , but the blad cove.does not come offth
There is not enough in the notes to tell you how to get the red cover of the blades . to which I thought the seller would have.

I had been chopping all of my ingredients by hand and my food prep was taking too much time (or, more time than I cared to spend doing it!). It was also somewhat dangerous, as I am not a trained, skilled, ‘knife handler’. I am a widower and am still dealing with meal prep on my own. I wanted a device that was easy to use and easy to clean, that chopped as much, or, as little, as I needed, and could do it quickly. I am extremely happy with this chopper! I have had it for almost two weeks and actually LOOK for opportunities to use it! There are sufficient and warranted warnings about the blades being sharp – and they are! But, that is one of the reasons that this chopper works so well. Just be mindful of that especially when you are cleaning the blade unit. (Basically, it’s no different than being careful with any sharp blade.) I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another, should I need it, and I would definitely consider giving this as a gift to someone who knows their way around a kitchen and needs to get things like this done efficiently. The small size is perfect for me, as I don’t prepare a lot of food at one time, but, it would take no time at all to prepare a second batch of ingredients if I needed to. I would guess that it can hold enough ingredients to prepare 2-4 servings worth of chopped ingredients in seconds and the resulting volume of ingredients can be adjusted by how many times you pull the cord. I have not pulled the cord more than 5 times to get the most finely chopped ingredients that I have ever used. It is compact, very well built, VERY easy to clean, and easy to store! Excellent product!!

A product that is easy and fun to use, easy to clean and not at all flimsy. It chops onions, celery, carrots… As long as the pieces you put in are a reasonable size, you will be amazed at the beautiful job it does. Every time you pull the string the pieces get chopped finer and you just have to lift the cover to see if you should give it another pull or if they are just right for your purposes.

I like how easy it is to use and clean. Good little kitchen tool to have around.
