Feels Like a Modern Upgrade
The screen is bright enough, not flagship-tablet quality or anything, but for a 7 inch car radio it looks clean and reacts pretty quick. CarPlay connected straight away, no weird dropouts, and having Google Maps and Spotify actually on the dash instead of balancing my phone in the cup holder, massive difference. It just makes the car feel ten years newer. In daily driving it’s been pretty smooth. Bluetooth calls are clear enough, people hear me fine, and the steering wheel controls worked without any crazy setup. Even the EQ surprised me, it’s nothing audiophile-level, but I could tweak the sound enough to make my stock speakers feel a bit less flat. Mirror Link works but feels clunky, so I stick to CarPlay.GPS is accurate, but if you’re used to Apple or Google maps you’ll definitely prefer those instead of the built-in stuff. If I have to be honest, the only annoying thing is the interface looks a bit “aftermarket”, not ugly, just that typical generic design. Boot time is also a few seconds longer than some factory units, but nothing dramatic. It does exactly what I needed, gives my car modern features, stable CarPlay, and doesn’t make me angry when I’m rushing to drive somewhere. Pretty solid upgrade if you’re running an older VW or Skoda and want a bit of smart tech without paying dealership prices.

Bit touch and go
I can’t make my mind up on the overall quality of this unit against the features and simplicity of connecting up to the existing wiring harness.I’ve had quite a bit of a challenge wiring this up with the use of a canbus and connecting the rear camera and the change of the wiring. The instructions aren’t that easy and clear, but eventually, by the use of trial and error, I managed to get this to work, but took a fair bit of effort.I strongly suggest getting expert help to install this, or even getting a professional to fit this.As for the usage, so far so good. The screen quality is ok, not high quality or exceptional, but it displays well enough to see even at nighttime and the sound output is fairly decent. The manual volume control is a little sketchy and doesn’t respond perfectly if you turn really fast, but if you rotate slowly, it responds perfectly and accurately.Given the price of this at 93.49, it’s a high price for what you get in return, especially given how fiddly it was to get up and running.

Worth a try
I installed this stereo in my VW with a friend’s help (no way I could’ve done it alone 😅). It took a few hours, but totally worth it — it looks amazing in my car now! The touchscreen is super clear, and I love that it still has physical buttons too, which makes it easier to use while driving. The sound is great, the radio reception is clear, and CarPlay connects really fast every time. It’s also easy to make calls through it. At £109, it’s not exactly cheap, but worth a try!

Great Upgrade
Brilliant upgrade, physical unit looks and feels just like an OEM unit. Touchscreen is bright and the OS is responsive and so it carplay. Powers up and autoconnects to my phone in seconds right after ignition on. Install was easy as I’ve retrofitted head units before, but simple enough that I feel anyone can do it. For the price, it’s a no brainer to get this to modernise your car.

good for the price.
This was quite easy to fit, all the cables and adaptors you need come in the box. The screen is ok, but not great.

Great head unit for my VW
This head unit is well made from quality materials with nice ergonomics and working functions. All the buttons seem intuitive and clear. The touch screen is clear and vibrant and can be seen easily even in strong daylight which some of these displays can not. It is responsive and quick to touch with no playability issues that I can find. The sat nav function is excellent too and works very well. The radio function with additional EQ is another much loved function. Radio reception is clear and full and a lovely tone to musuc and speech.I have not used every single function on this radio but the list is comprehensive and vast with the ability to change backlight colours etc. Finally fitting to my VW Golf was quite easy although I did have the help of an experienced car AV friend so your mileage may vary when fitting.
